A very realistic, heavily weathered 1930’s factory, typical of those seen all over the UK alongside railway lines and in towns and cities. This model is based on the old Mitchell Grieve factory in an old coal mining town in the Midlands, and features an English bond red brick texture with carved sandstone features at the top of the building. Sturdy layered card construction with high-resolution paper texture wraps are used to produce a very realistic model for your N scale model railway layout or 1:148 diecast diorama, with no visible cut card edges once complete.
Photographic textures have been used to create every aspect of this building kit, with unique realistically recessed individually weathered windows, hand weathered sandstone roof edging, upper stonework and lintels. Just like the real thing we’ve also included a metal clad hipped roof and separately applied rainwater downpipes. All textures are fully weathered giving you the most realistic building possible straight from your printer.
As with all our recent releases the kit is designed to be constructed using recycled card of approximately 0.7mm or 500gsm thickness, such as cereal packet, to keep construction costs to a minimum.
The kit comes in a weathered old English Bond red brick finish and includes the following features:
